A view of buildings and river in Salies
One of the streets I get to walk down almost every day, looking at 16th century buildings; the bridge goes over the Saleys River.
A view of the town from the hill called Le Pain de Sucre, the sweet roll.
Autumn was bright this year and trees like this one appeared all over town.
Ahhh, the Pyrenees! Snow-capped, majestic.
The “Gave de Oloron” (Gave is the special name for a river formed from the melting Pyrenees’ snow). The Gave de Oloron at Sauveterre, a medieval village 10 minutes from Salies.
Another view of Sauveterre from the “Isle de la Glère, a beautiful island formed by the river. Sunset from my apartment window.
